Our First Registered American Bully

I thought getting a big time bully puppy would be simple; boy were we wrong. We will share with you our real life victories and challenges. In the picture below is a picture of where Bullies of Greatness began. This is our American Bully Stella. We bought her from a kennel called MVP Bullies out of Atlanta, Georgia. Her dam is PR MVP’s Mae Mae and her sire is PR Kodiak Line Bigfoot.

Stella is a survivor because she was in a litter of fifteen and out of the the litter only six survived. There was a good chance that there wasn’t going to be an opportunity to get a puppy from that litter. Due to us being the 4th pick female and only three females made it. Everything happens for a reason and another family had backed out and decided to wait for a different litter for personal reasons. We were back in position to get our beautiful girl Stella.

Bringing American Bully MVP Stella home

When it came time to go pick up MVP Stella, we decided that we were going to make the road trip from Ohio to Georgia. It took us about 10 hours to get to MVP Bullie’s camp. We decided to stay the night in a hotel and drive back home the next day. We went to MVP Bullies home that next morning to pick Stella up. They had a beautiful facility set up for their dogs and puppies. Stella was the first puppy out of this litter to go to her forever home. So we were able to see her brothers and sisters while we were there as well.

We Weren’t Prepared For What Came Next

Stella did a good job on the drive home. She slept most of the way and didn’t have any accidents. She did awesome adjusting to our house and our kids. A couple days had past and I had noticed that she had mucus coming out of her nose and she had a cough. It alarmed us because of the fact that majority of her litter had passed.

Stella was sick with Upper Resp. Infection

I quickly messaged MVP Bullies about the matter and they advice that we take her to the vet. We had found out that she had a upper respiratory infection and would need to be put on antibiotics. She did a good job at the vet. We gave her her medicine for 10 days and she was back to normal. We were so glad we were able to catch the signs of her being sick so we were able to get on her on her antibiotics.
